Artist Portfolio

I am taking the ordinary and attempting to bring my personal emotion and perception of the world to my artwork. I view the world from a unique perspective due to my dyslexia, it allows me to think differently and present a new facet of the human experience. I may be wholly aware and oblivious to my surroundings all at once, as my mind is in several places at any given time. I am laser-focused is when I have entered flow state. The act of creation allows me to enter that state and slow my mind – to change from constant chaos to calm waters.

Ceramics portfolio

I create functional pottery through the techniques of slip casting, hand building and wheel throwing. In my functional works, I represent the human form and explore femininity through representational surface designs. I explore my relationship to the unfamiliar through their creative processes; I am able to give voice to the unheard emotions of my being.

Doll Portfolio

I seek to capture the human experience through imaginative porcelain dolls. Through beaded wigs, hand-sewn clothing, and muti ball joints, I aim for a wide range of movement and creativity in design. My dolls are crafted with delicate expertise, blending realism and artistry. I honor the essence of the body, the soul, and the beauty of human life through the replication of life-like figures. My unique ability to recreate beauty and innocence allows me to highlight ever-shifting issues of identity and existence not limited to dolls.

Drawing and Painting
Portfolio

Drawing is the foundation of arts. I learned to express my ideas first though drawing then painting, which lead to all avenues of the arts that I have studied in university. My love for the basics, that communicate the instal concepts of sketches to full fledged works of art. I attribute my 2D works as a pice of self. I view sharing my drawings and paintings as an extension like the close I wear.

Digital Portfolio

I am not chained to one medium. My most recent exploration lives within the digital world. I have grown comfortable in the traditional mediums of painting, drawing, ceramics, and sculpture. However, I have begun to branch off to new mediums. I was hesitant at first with anything that was too technical. However, my digital art has taken on a life of its own. I am growing and becoming accustomed to this new mode of creating; I can now see the world through vectors and pixels. I not only see through a physical design lens but also a digital one.
